Hard Fabric (HGW) is a composite composed of cotton and Phenol or an other synthetic resin. The properties of hard fabrics are that they have good mechanical properties in terms of strength and wear resistance. In addition, hard tissues also have a low coefficient of friction, a low mass density, a high maximum operating temperature (+120°C) and are great electrical insulators. Due to the typical material properties of Hard fabric (HGW), it is widely used in mechanical engineering and the electrical industry.
